These tasty biscuits are very quick and easy to throw together. Made.from basic store cupboard ingredients, they are perfect for hungry tummies after school (sometimes I wonder if my children actually eat lunch at school because they are always starving by 3pm!) or anytime 🙂
Makes about 10
Grease and line a large baking tray.
75g self raising flour
75g caster sugar
75g soft butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1 tablespoon milk
Preheat oven 180C.
Place the flour in a bowl. Stir in the sugar and oats. Melt the butter, golden syrup and milk in a small saucepan. Pour over the oat and flour mixture and mix well. Roll walnut sized pieces of dough and place on baking tray, allowing one inch between each biscuit to allow for spreading. Bake for 10-15 mins or until golden brown around the edges.
Very moreish! These biscuits are also gorgeous dipped in melted chocolate, just like a chocolate hob nob but better!
