Harrisa mackerel dip

My latest recipe for Fish is the Dish takes a mere five minutes to put together and makes a really healthy lunch or snack. I had never tried using tinned mackerel before and I was surprised how much I liked it. It’s cheap, full of protein and tastes good – I’ll always keep a tin in the cupboard now so I can whip up this extremely fast dip recipe.

Harrisa Mackerel Dip

Two tins of mackerel fillets in tomato sauce
1/2 tsp harrisa
2 tbsp creme fraiche
Lemon juice
Salt and pepper

Empty the mackerel fillets into a bowl and add the harrisa, creme fraiche and a squeeze of lemon juice. Add salt and pepper and an extra squeeze of lemon if need be. Stir together but don’t overmix.
